Triple Eight Brainsaver Glossy Skateboard Helmet Review

Besides the fact this helmet is pink and matches my hair. I love this helmet because it fits me PERFECTLY! I wear this in a small and it fits my head perfect. I wear a medium in protec helmets, but the medium is a tad big and the Smalls were a tad small. So I am stoked to have this helmet. I can wear sunglasses with this Triple 8 helmet and it does not pinch my head or my ears. I upgraded and got the sweatsaver band padding in my helmet...which they do not offer in the pink. I am glad to upgraded...on hot summer days the sweatsaver...saves me from a sweaty face. I have bashed my head with this helmet on in the skate park, face planted with it in dirt and grass. It has saved my head so many times and I have loved this helmet so very much. It is so comfortable I never notice I am wearing it and never feel dumb or lame wearing this either.

K2 Etu Mens Inline Skates Review

FYI Im coming from a background skating really hard agressive boots--so the whole soft boot thing (even if its made of plastic water bottles) took a lot of getting used to.At first I could barely skate on these things, now I cruise around quite quickly, albeit with less total control/turning power and thrust.

The plus's: recycled/sustainable materials--really sleek looking too I might add
Cruisin on bamboo is quite a thrill

Sadly: the bamboo chips easily, the laces have no quick lace system, the plastic buckle is a hassle to click into place and the sewn on D ring for the velcro stabilizer strap never stays in place, constantly warping the velcro strap when I go to tighten my boot (but this has made lacing up a much more zen like experience, the bamboo helps too) One of the biggest problems is the wheels they put out with this skate--Ive had this pair less than a month, just about to rotate them when I find my wrenches--but the wheels are so degraded its unbelievable.I would be going through 12 pairs a year, but Ill just put some better ones on next time.

I do like the big handy straps on it, to carry and pull my foot into the boot--always nice

Other than that--not sure if Amazon advertised this, but some site said it would include an extra shorter axle to take off the back brake--I didnt find one..so I had to cut off the brake pad so I could still use the longer axle in back.

For my purposes (zipping around quickly, while having the ability to be a little rougher/have more fun/maneuverability) I would have been better off with a crossover boot (half agro/half fitness--a hardboot with nice big wheels and not grind plate). Sadly I went the eco friendly route, which only served to make myself feel better for a slight bit, then feel harshly burned for paying over price for a hyped up product (as most green marketing goes...)All in all its not a bad skate if you really want to just ride around a track/trail...but its too delicate for real road riding.

I am looking forwardto getting this back.. first it doesn't come with a wheel,so you have to call the company,,Johnson Outdoor ,and order a wheel,and after that I couldn't get the watch to read the puck in the wheel,so I figured maybe the battery was to weak, so I called the company,and they had no batteries ,so said to send it to them, It seems like it will be a good item when I finally get it all working,, and it is funny,Amazon asked for my response the same day I sent it back to the company. Rollerblade Crossfire TFS Inline Skates Review

I didn't buy these from amazon, but I wanted to write a review to level out the terrible one star review the previous person gave these skates. Their great skates if you're just interested in fitness skating. The included bearings are a little weak (SG7's) and I would recommend that you step up toABEC 9's if you want to get any more speed out of them. The wheels are pretty good, 82mm (size) 82A (hardness). For those who don't know, the hardness rating (durometer) tells you how hard the wheels are. Extremely soft wheels, such as 78A's, will be best for riding on rough concrete. The softness will help the skates absorb bumps and make for a more comfortable ride at the cost of speed. Extremely hard wheels, such as 90A's, are better suited to skating indoors. The harder the wheels, the faster (and rougher) the ride. These skated meet in the middle, but may leave much to be desired if you're looking for speed. The TFS fastening system is amazing. One pull on the disk and your skates are perfectly tightened. The mechanism seems very sturdy, I haven't had any problems. The skates also have a ratcheting buckle system. If you've ever had skates that have the buckle strap around the ankle, you know how much of a pain it can be to get it tight. The Crossfire TFS are great skates for intermediate skater; a great stepping stone toward the Radical 90's or other speed skates.

Tour STX 800 Inline Hockey Skates 2010 Review

Ive heard from others in the league that the CHEAPER Tour Skates have had problems with there boots and the plastic not being strong enough. so the 2nd wheel on the left side rubs REAL BAD to a point that im down to a 68mm wheel and it hardly touchs the ground but it doesnt rub. they fit comfy and are great but ive heard 200$ and less size's 10+ to have a problem with the boot. few buddys have the 399$ ones and love em but are also size 9.5

K2 Il Capo Mens Inline Skates Review

Rollerblade Astro 50 Inline Skates Review

*** 2 month update:One Star, now.Frame rivets are showing significant fatigue.I know I skate hard, but I expect better.What good are they, if the frames are loose or unstable? ***

In my opinion, this is one of the best skates for the price, but it's still got some drawbacks.

Pros:Comfortable with less solid plastic, 82A wheels are harder than most that come with skates, aluminum frames.

Cons:Sticks can get stuck in the metal crossbar on the frame.Brake support is hard to remove, and those dipwads at Rollerblade don't include an extra axle.Only come with 80mm wheels.(compatable with 84mm wheels)

Advice:The insert that comes with the skate is junk.(Aren't they all.)Put in a good, solid flat insert.This will also keep the inner boot from slipping out of the frame.(Inner boots are removeable for faster drying.)
